1998

In his last ever Finals game (cuz he retired again after this one) Jordan scored 45 points! One of his four steals led to him hitting the greatest and most famous and momentous last shot of a Finals series ever.

At age 35 MJ became the oldest MVP and scoring champion ever. He also led the Bulls to a 62-20 record and took them to face Utah again.

Air Jordan 14

Jordan began the 1998 NBA Finals series against the Utah Jazz wearing that season’s signature sneaker, the AJ13, before switching into an early Air Jordan 14 prototype for Game 3. The prototype was given to Jordan by Hatfield, who asked Jordan not to wear it. Jordan liked the shoe so much, though, that he didn’t listen and wore it anyway.

This sneaker was inspired by Jordan’s love for Ferraris, featuring a Jumpman logo that flipped the original Ferrari logo. It was lower cut than previous models and featured dual Zoom units, giving off a high-speed aesthetic.
